It was hard to believe the claims of efficiency Byzel’s sewer system boasted unless it was seen firsthand. Filth in all its forms magically separated from the vile murk leaving potable water in its place. That very same liquid would eventually be circulated back into the city’s water supply for further use and consumption. The idea had Behemoth involuntarily gagging when she had first come to Eos, but over time she had resigned herself to accepting this unsettling truth. In the very least the glowing flora in Byzel was an indication that the local water supported life, to some extent anyways.
A wide, metal set of double doors blocked the way into the sewers before the Knight. The point of entry for the job was located in one of Byzel’s many industrial waste plants. Nearby, the Mayor of the City of Tears was finalizing instructions to some of the factory workers for the eventual clean up. Behemoth waited patiently in the meantime, unsure of whether or not she should be expecting company on this excursion. She hadn’t heard of any other Knights looking into this job, and not many freelancers went into the sewers unless they had to. She had offered to begin her search of the tunnels when she had arrived ten minutes ago, but the gentle giant that the Mayor was had urged her to wait just a little longer.
For the second time since then she held up a piece of red string to inspect under the factory’s ceiling lights. The Mayor had a creative plan to track these rats, but Behemoth was doubtful of the idea. Even if one of the red strings was secured to a brick at the sewer entrance there was no guarantee it was still attached to a rat. However, her cynicism had been proven wrong before. If enough rats had been tied up this way one of them would eventually betray the location of the nest. There was only one way to find out at this point. She pocketed the item, and as her hand brushed up against the hilt of a sword sheathed on her belt Behemoth spared the weapon a brief glance.
Rumors of 'rodents of unusual size' were all the rage recently in Byzel. In the end though, they were still vermin that needed to be culled. The mutant was no expert with a sword, but it would serve her needs well enough today.

It is a miracle to see a man such as Iocus Devir to be seen outside his room especially not Altair where his agency is. Granted that what he is doing right now is that too far from what he usually do at his home, all he is doing right now is hugging Kraka's neck to fixated his positions at the top of her. The swaying motion from walking pushing himself to the land of the dream. It wasn't his idea for him to be there right now, it was a request from a client to getting rid the rats from a sewer in byzel. When he was going to rejects it, he was greeted with a hard peck from Kraka to ensure Iocus to not reject the offer. With dozen of pecks and cawing, ignoring the dumbstruck client, Iocus finally gave in and accepted the job.
A sword, the old relic from the past, rest on his waist while Kraka arrives at the gate. Iocus is holding a red string that said by the client will leads him to the nest.
"What a weird idea. If they already tied it, why don't they remove it by themselves instead of asking this" Iocus grumbles as he notice a young... man? woman? Honestly, he couldn't bother himself with that. The thing that he notices the most are the sword on their waist. A well maintain one showing a careful care to it, a habit from the past that can't die on checking other people sword.
"CAW!!"
At the beginning, Iocus doesn't want to reach out to them. He likes to be alone right now without any disturbance and let Kraka do the job as he rest on the top of her. Yet, Kraka notices what he is planning and caw really hard calling the person near him.
Please don't ignore it, please ignore it

The sight of a crow griffin entering the factory was announced by the murmurs of onlooking citizens. Behemoth had her eyes trained on the animal well before it had entered the range where she could feel its strong heart pulsating within its chest. As a mutant with beast blood in her veins there was a natural curiosity stirred within her thoughts at its appearance, but there was something else afoot here. A man, laying on top of the griffin. Was he.. sleeping?
No, he was moving. Just barely though, just enough to observe his surroundings. Upon meeting his momentary gaze the Knight arched a brow with an unamused expression. The strange sight puzzled her, but as the griffin stood nearby the metal doors nearby Behemoth assumed the pair was here to help. To some kind of capacity, at least. She glanced at the large doors to make an estimate of the tunnel's size. The man's beast friend would fit inside the passageways just fine. The griffin might even have room to fly in some of the more open chambers. If they had to pass through a regular doorway, though--
Behemoth's gaze snapped back to the feathered creature as it cawed, loudly. It was obvious it was trying to get the Knight's attention, but the man on the griffin's back made no move. Was he ignoring his animal companion, and her as well? Glancing from the man, then to his griffin, and back at the man again the mutant frowned. She did not need a disturbance to distract from her job, and even the Mayor was starting to make his way over now.
"Hey!" called out the Knight sternly as she started making her way over to the white haired man, giving the griffin a wary glance as she did so in case her approach made it angry. "Sir! Do you have a reason to be down here? This area is restricted right now; if you're not here for work you're going to have to leave."

Hearing the outburst from the person in front of him demotivate him more and make Kraka's snap her beak to them angrily, yet he finds that this is the ideal position for him to be in. Iocus patting the neck of Kraka and straightened his body.
"See, Kraka. We are being push away despite there is a client that ask me to exterminate the rats here. This person can do it" Iocus lazily explains lazily loud enough to Kraka, to make sure that person hears it. Kraka shakes her black feather sideways. Iocus paled as he notice the shadow slowly rising from the Kraka's feet.
"Stop! Stop! I am just kidding! I will do this job properly, stop that!" Iocus flustered panicky try to calm her down as he climb down from her back. He rub the under side of her neck which makes her do a soft caw.
"Ah... Sorry for that, i guess. But i am here for a job. This is my familiar, her name is Kraka"
Iocus ruffled his hair feeling can't bothered with all of this. He is hoping that the person in front of him won't take Kraka's act as an aggression. Even if they tries to hurt her, Iocus won't stay silent and let his sword awake from his waist.
"My name is Iocus Devir, a freelancer. what yours?"

The Knight narrowed her eyes into a steely glare at the griffin when it snapped its beak at her. Fortunately for the both of them the white haired man was talking now. Behemoth turned her glare up to the man, listening to him speak. His attitude was hardly reassuring, but he did mention the client had asked him specifically to be here. Now that was a curious thing to hear, especially when it sounded like he was about to walk right off of the job!
Her glare then traveled to the Mayor of the City of Tears, who was within earshot now as he continued to hurry over. The mutant had just barely opened her mouth to demand an explanation, but the white haired man spoke up again cutting her off in a panic. As she glanced back to the man her eyes caught a brief movement in the shadows below the griffin. The unexpected disturbance forced Behemoth to take a step back in caution as the animals rider dismounted for introductions.
"Kraka," repeated the mutant as she kept an eye on the beast, "..I see. You must have a way with animals to have a griffin for a familiar, Mister Devir." The Knight looked back to Iocus before sighing quietly in resignation. Iocus still didn't seem very serious, but if he had been asked for directly... "My name is Behemoth, Knight of the Council."
"And Byzel is glad to have you both!" said the burly Mayor as he stood next to the small team. Clapping his hands together with a polite smile he nodded to the large double doors leading to the sewers. "This.. I admit is an unusual request, but the workers are persistent that something unnatural is occurring down there. Seeking the aid of professionals seemed like a prudent choice. We have tied long lengths of red string to a few of the rats that were caught before setting them free, and I hope that offers some direction during your search."
"I'm sure it will be helpful, Sir," replied Behemoth flatly, clearly doubtful. Turning away from the Mayor without another word to the man Behemoth walked up to the metal doors and started to push them open. "Mister Devir, if you're ready to begin, so am I."

"Red string to a mouse is a weird idea to pull off. I wonder which moron is the one who have that idea" Iocus sigh after he listen to the burly mayor introduction. He is being careful to not said that within the earshot of the mayor since he had an experience on getting a dirty look from reckless talks. However, that experience doesn't let him to not talk about it when he is alone - Behemoth stands right near him.
He grabs on his old yet trusted Katana on his waist. The partner that has been company him in his bloody past. Sensing the dark though collecting within his mind, Kraka nudge her beak to the body. When Iocus though that she is being considerate, turns out that she is nudging him to walk to the sewer.
"Geez, okay okay... You are getting more and more impatient these day when you hear about the rats since two days ago. So, Behemoth. After you"
Iocus bow awkwardly while spreading one of his arm to the entrance to the sewer, he signal the man in front of him to take the lead. "I believe it is the duty of a knight to take the lead"
